Our Position

Francis Law Center does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We provide this page so that you can exercise your rights easily, and so our practices are clear to you.

Under California law, these terms are broader than they may appear. A “sale” is not limited to exchanges for money — it can include disclosing personal information to a third party for other valuable consideration. “Sharing” refers specifically to disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, meaning advertising targeted to you based on your activity across different websites.

We do neither.

How to Opt Out

Even though we do not sell or share personal information, you may submit an opt-out request at any time using any of these methods:

Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser — we treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser or device and honor it automatically, with no further action from you

Processing Your Request

No account creation is required, and we will not ask you to verify your identity in order to opt out.

We act on an opt-out request as soon as feasibly possible and no later than 15 business days from the date we receive it.

Your opt-out remains in effect until you tell us otherwise. We will not ask you to consent to the sale or sharing of your personal information for at least 12 months after you opt out.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising this or any other privacy right. Exercising your rights will not affect the legal services available to you or the quality of those services.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may ask the agent to provide proof that you authorized them to act for you.

Your Other Privacy Rights

You may also have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request a copy of it, to request that we correct it, and to request that we delete it. We respond to those requests within 45 calendar days of receipt, with a possible extension of up to 45 additional days where we notify you of the extension and the reason for it.
