Nazka Serrano

I’m Kichwa-Otavalo, indigenous from the northern regions of Ecuador. I am an alumna of Edgewood College, where I earned my degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Social Influence. I am currently continuing my education through MATCH, pursuing a post-baccalaureate certificate in Paralegal Studies.

I have worked at Francis Law Center for approximately a year and a half and currently serve as a Case Manager, primarily working with family-based adjustment of status cases. In my role, I assist clients throughout the immigration process and help ensure they understand the steps involved in their cases and feel supported along the way.

I am fluent in both English and Spanish. What I enjoy most about working with clients is being able to make an often complex and overwhelming process feel more understandable and approachable. I value building trust with clients, listening to their concerns, and helping them feel informed and supported throughout their immigration journey.

Outside of work, I am a jewelry artist and enjoy creating handmade pieces. I also help with my family’s local business, which allows me to stay connected to my family and community.
