Daniela Buitrago
- Education: I have a degree in Chemical Engineering. I also completed a few courses while I was an Au Pair abroad, and I have an EF English certification.
- Professional background: I started my career as a Sales Manager for a hydraulic equipment company. I later transitioned into intake, first working for a home healthcare agency and then moving into the U.S. immigration legal field. I have been working in immigration for almost two years, with experience in intake, sales strategy, and some onboarding and training for new team members.
- Experience: In December, I will have two years of experience working in the immigration field.
- Current role: I work with potential clients from their first contact with the firm, helping gather information about their cases and guiding them through the intake process. I coordinate consultations, send agreements and payment information, follow up with clients, and stay in communication with them throughout the process to answer questions and make sure they feel supported and informed as they decide whether to move forward with our firm.
- Areas of immigration: Because of my role, I come across many different types of immigration cases. I am particularly familiar with family-based and marriage-based cases, as well as some humanitarian matters.
- Languages: Spanish and English.
- What I enjoy most about helping clients: I really enjoy being able to listen to people first and then help them find an option or a possible solution to their situation. What I find most rewarding is being able to give clients some clarity and reassurance while also building a relationship of trust, so they feel confident that they are making the right decision when choosing to work with us.
- Personal: Lately, I have been exploring my creative side and developing hobbies like crochet, painting, and other activities that allow me to be creative. I also really enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog, Canela, and taking her on walks or hikes whenever I have the opportunity. I love spending time with my family and close friends. I would also describe myself as adventurous. I enjoy both long and short trips, especially when they involve trying something new or having a new experience. I love concerts and festivals, and living in the capital gives me the opportunity to take advantage of many of the events happening throughout the year. Cooking is another one of my favorite things to do, and I enjoy trying new things while also keeping a balanced lifestyle.
